TouchTunes is an international media provider of digital music solutions to restaurants, bars and other social venues. Most of their products are manufactured in APAC and shipped to the United States for customer deployment.
In 2008, TouchTunes came to the table with a unique problem they identified post-manufacturing: over 2,000 of their “jukes” were made without amplifiers and only one payment slot. The initial design of their units incorporated two amplifiers and to payment slots. To make matters worse, their newly manufactured jukeboxes were already on a vessel headed towards the US to fulfill an order from a nationwide restaurant chain expecting early arrival. Touch Tunes needed a solution and they needed one fast.
The experienced ATS Remanufacturing team was able to develop a customized solution for TouchTunes
that included:
- Receiving all units in Carol Stream, IL
- Upgrading each juke to TouchTunes specifications
- Final testing each unit to ensure functionality
- Repacking and shipping to end customer
To meet promise date to TouchTunes’ customer, ATS dedicated a team of process engineers, technicians, component replacement specialists and over 5,000 sq feet of production and warehouse space. Teams worked in multiple shifts to remanufacture 2,000 units in under six weeks. The program was a huge success and earned ATS varying opportunities with TouchTunes and their parent company, The Octave Group, since 2008.
Today, Advanced Technical Services is the North American Repair Depot for TouchTunes and The Octave Group. The ATS team continues to create customized remanufacturing, warehousing and fulfillment solutions for many of The Octave Group brands.
